COLE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES BETA TEST PROGRAM FOR z/XDC® z1.10

IBM’s® System z10™ Machine Instructions Support
IBM C/C++ Support with New c/XDC Feature
AFTON, Va. , August 19, 2008/ -- Cole Software LLC of Afton, VA is pleased to announce the availability of a beta test program of z/XDC z1.10 for existing customers.
This latest beta version of the powerful Assembler debugging tool, z/XDC, includes support for:
- More than 70 new machine instructions introduced by IBM’s new System z10 processor
- Setting hooks into programs in store-protected storage
- Setting hooks into PC routines, SRBs, locked code, etc.
- Debugging problem state PC routines
- “A La Carte” configuration options
A major enhancement available with z/XDC z1.10 is the support for displaying and debugging IBM C/C++ programs with the new c/XDC Feature. This feature is seamlessly integrated into the existing z/XDC technology and includes support for:
- Showing C/C++ source code statements for programs in execution
- Displaying C/C++ variables, arrays and data structures
- Setting breakpoints in (or between) statement boundaries in C/C++ programs
- Stepping through C/C++ programs statement by statement
- Stepping into, out of, and over C/C++ routines
At GA, c/XDC will be available as a separately priced add-on component to z/XDC. So, if you don’t need it, don’t pay for it. You will get the same usage-based pricing and policies as you do today with z/XDC.
